SCALE is a non-profit organization located in Northern California that brings people together through the arts. Our goal is to break down the boundaries separating people from each other by promoting world music, entertainment, art and literature from many different cultures. Without religious and political separation we are all the same, humans that can be moved by a great performance or a striking piece of art.

We accomplish our goals by hosting live performances, educational seminars and workshops, Internet radio broadcasts, and cultural events. We promote artists from different cultures and backgrounds through events and live performances in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you've ever wanted to reach out and experience different cultures, SCALE is a great place to start.

Some of the organizations that SCALE has worked with in recent years are Radio Darvish and Tarschool. Radio Darvish is an Internet streaming radio webcast that plays Persian traditional music. Tarschool teaches students Persian Radif and various musical instruments.Students at Tarschool not only learn how to play the musical instruments, but also gain a vast knowledge of persian repertoire. Tarschool is also the source of certain academic projects such as the researching of and writing about subjects in the realm of Persian classical and folk music.
